INSTANTOLOGY - URBAN TAILORING FOR URBAN GENTS

Ji Il-Geun launched Instantology in 2008 under the motto “Urban Tailoring for Urban Gents”.
Heavily inspired by old school collegiate prep the SS14 collection brings a great selection of printed blazers.

See the full look book of SS 2014 here which brings color, pattern, and sophisticated prep with a creative twist.  Striped socks, blazers adorned in florals, polka dots, pinstripes, checks, palm trees and more. The outfits are happily colorful and are often matched with bright ties, white shorts, pants and shoes. It reminds me of a young and foolish school boy– say Angus Young from AC/DC

THESE CAVEMEN - THE DUTCH BLACK IVY

In April I was invited for the GANT X Esquire bloggers event, and one of the contesters is a blog called "These Cavemen" They selected 4 outfits from the Gant Haarlem Store, they could choose from Gant Mainline, Gant Rugger and Gant by Michael Bastian. Above you can see the results. As I saw the pictures it reminded me at a photoshoot called Black Ivy by Streetetiquette in 2010. Guys if you win this competition, I wish you a lot of fun in Stockholm and say hi to Christopher!

J.Press, gentlemen's clothing store since 1902 teamed up with the brothers Ovadia and developed the J.Press Yorkstreet collection. A few weeks ago the first York Street Store opened it's doors @ Bleecker Street with next door neighbors like Gant Rugger & Brooks Brothers Black Fleece. The store has a lot of heritage and links with the Ivy League background of J.Press, with "Handsome Dan" the Yale bulldog as mascot. (pics via flickr & selectism)
