AGE DOESN'T HAVE TO COME WITH TIME

The limited edition project utilizes an innovative design process that lends a vintage, worn-in vibe to the iconic Woolrich Arctic Parka. Each parka is hand-sprayed, hand-stitched and washed until it looks “Aged to Perfection”. Hand-stitching and embroidered American flags on the sleeves highlight the brand’s heritage and long-standing roots in U.S. garment history, while still maintaining a contemporary design aesthetic.

The six piece “Aged to Perfection” capsule collection will be available at retailers worldwide, as well as the Woolrich John Rich & Bros. online store.

TODD SNYDER IS A CHAMP

This fall New-York designer Todd Snyder teams up with Champion. For this collaboration,
he decided to take a look at the history of the company and examine some of their catalog covers from the past. Champion, was established in Rochester, New York in 1919, Brothers Abe and Bill Fainbloom founded “The Knickerbocker Knitting Company” which later became Champion. Focusing on producing a heavy-duty cotton, which they patented as Reverse-Weave, the Fainbloom brothers manufactured sweatshirts and later jerseys. Designed originally for athletes, but in the 60s, Champion was seen more and more around the Campus and worn by Ivy-hipsters.
Drawing from Champion’s vast amount of sales catalogs and vintage samples, Todd Snyder added his handwriting on classic pieces by tailoring them with a modern twist. The full collection includes garment dyed t-shirts, vintage thermal long-sleeve crews, sweats, merino wool varsity sweaters, and much more. All styles of the 35 piece “City Gym” collection carry an authentic 1950’s Champion label with “T.SNYDER” stenciled in the back of each garment – reminiscent of the Champion gym uniforms worn by Todd in his school years.

DSTREZZED - THE LUXURY VINTAGE Co.

Strezzed, Depressed, but Well Dressed

When I visted the showroom of Atelier la Durance, I also had the possibility to take a peek in the Dstrezzed showroom. Destrezzed is a young Dutch brand established by Eric Aarden, in 2010. Kay and Roy the 2 sales guys of Dstrezzed where more then happy to show me around in this inviting showroom.
This winter the collection brings a chino's in many colors and non-colors. Tons of cardigans in lots a variations like shawl collars, Fair Isle knits etc. Bubble coats 5 or more collars and my personal favorite the camo jacket. And as you can see i was a little to eager to take a picture so it ain't a steady shot at all.
