INSTANTOLOGY - URBAN TAILORING FOR URBAN GENTS

Ji Il-Geun launched Instantology in 2008 under the motto “Urban Tailoring for Urban Gents”.
Heavily inspired by old school collegiate prep the SS14 collection brings a great selection of printed blazers.

See the full look book of SS 2014 here which brings color, pattern, and sophisticated prep with a creative twist.  Striped socks, blazers adorned in florals, polka dots, pinstripes, checks, palm trees and more. The outfits are happily colorful and are often matched with bright ties, white shorts, pants and shoes. It reminds me of a young and foolish school boy– say Angus Young from AC/DC

GANT RUGGER PRE-SPRING 2014 - TRAVELING THE ORIENT

GANT Rugger's all-American boy takes a trip to the restored Orient Express for their pre-spring 2014 collection outing. Transforming American sportswear pieces with an injection of Italian flamboyance
and Scandinavian simplicity, their aesthetic hits a new stride with an extra punch, the tuxedo jacket is enlisted in an Italian silk paisley finish while the army green jacket is transformed with an all over zebra print lining. In between staples such as the lightweight travel coat and hooded sweatshirt. GANT Rugger defines a new arena for their fundamental styles. (text & pictures via The Fashionisto)

BKLYN DRYGOODS MADE A LOOKBOOK F/W12

This morning I bumped into the freshly released lookbook of BKLYN Drygoods for Fall/Winter 2012
Jahn Hall & Kurt Uhlendorf, the owners of BKLYN Drygoods did an amazing job showing Vintage pieces looking so modern. With a combined 30+ years in the fashion industry traveling the globe for some of the industry’s top brands & working alongside some of the world’s best vintage collections, they discovered that their love of vintage was beautifully executed but prohibitively priced — or jammed into poorly merchandised dusty warehouses for a great deal. Both seemed to them a bit intimidating to most. Enough said.........enjoy the looks!

GANT AMERICAN STYLE F/W 2012

Gant revealed their looks for Fall/Winter on their site, and as you can see it will be a preppy winter, nice sports coats combined with colorful chino's or a "go to hell pants" with dogs on it. Lots of rugby shirts or as Gant calls them Ruggers. Oh and eh......don't forget do wear your down vest as a layer over your blazer!
